We have survived the Curly World Congress 2010, which was held at The Harris Centre, Walford Campus, Nr Shrewsbury, England, and our first camping experience. We really enjoyed our week, meeting old friends, and making new ones. At the championship show judged by Mrs Tiina Illukka from Finland, Roughyeds were placed as follows:- Bruiser 1st in Yearling Dog. Finn VHC in Yearling Dog. Levi 2nd in Graduate Dog. Tanner reserve in Yearling Bitch. Leto 1st in Special Working Bitch. After the auction we released Chinese lanterns, most of us wrote on the names of our Curlies who were no longer with us, so this was a very emotional time for everybody. At the end of the week, the working test took place. The venue was ideal, and much thought had gone in how to make the most of the open land, woods and water. There was a friendly and helpful atmosphere throughout the day, and the judges, stewards, and organisers worked hard to put everyone at their ease. The judges were Mr T Dukes and Miss F Stevens. In the novice class there were 12 entries with 1 absentee. Flick took 2nd place. Tanner took 5th place. In the open class there were 6 entries. Leto took 4th place.
